| Mesotherapy which was started in france in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor, traditionally involves the use of needles to deliver small formulations of medicines, vitamins and homeopathic products in small quantities to a desired area of concentration. These are substances that are normally used in medical practices. Mesotherapy can be used for a multitude of conditions, with fat and cellulite reduction being among the most popular. There is now a way to deliver these formulations, especially for fat and cellulite in a much less invasive manner. That's right; no needles, and consequently less chance of bruising and pain associated with more traditional mesotherapy. This allows for a more consistent application and larger treatment area.
Once a week, or even twice a week treatments can now be done, rendering faster results. There is a longer lag time between treatments with more traditional needle mesotherapy to allow for tissue healing. This newer modality allows the client to complete the desired number of treatments with little or no discomfort, such as tingling, in the desired 8 to 10 treatment protocol. There is no downtime with this treatment modality. Maintenance touchups every two months may be desirable, depending on the condition. This newer application allows for other treatment options.
