Our Medical Director, Dr. Joyce Poag, has been a practicing physician for more than 26 years. She has trained in Aesthetic Medicine and is a diplomate of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. She is certified by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. She attended medical school at the University of Missouri, in Columbia, MO, and residency at Norwalk hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, a Yale University affiliated hospital. Dr. Poag is a certified cosmetic surgeon through Allergan (makers of BOTOX® Cosmetic), Bioform Medical (makers of Radiesse™), Inamed (makers of Cosmoderm® and Captique™ and Medicis Aesthetics (makers of Restylane®). Dr. Poag is listed on Allergan's find a doctor websites for BOTOX® Cosmetic for Aesthetic facial application and Hyperhidrosis website. Dr. Poag also took extensive training in Mesotherapy and presently certified by the International Society of Mesotherapy and French Mesotherapy Society. She is one of only a few select physicians who have this certification. She was trained under Dr. Philippe Petit, President of the International Society of Mesotherapy and past President of the French Mesotherapy Society. Her Mesotherapy training was under Dr. Jorge Silva, President of the Panamerican Mesotherapy Society. Dr. Philippe Petit took over the succession, of Dr. Michael Pistor, in which the Mesotherapy technique was created.
