Frequently Asked Questions: Q. How much does your service cost? A. Our service is free to the doctor. We bill the patients insurance company for a technical component fee. This technical component is a dramatically reduced facility fee from a hospital or ASC. Q. How much is this going to interrupt our normal office flow? A. Each procedure is generally blocked out for a 30-minute time slot. That includes time for the HealthMark technician to fully set up and break down the instrumentation and equipment. Q. How hard is it to schedule with HealthMark? A. All procedures can usually be booked within 1 week. To schedule, a time and date will need to be agreed on and a copy of the patients insurance card and surgical request form faxed to HealthMark Medical. Q. What size scope do you use for your hysteroscopy exams? A. We use a 3mm hysteroscope. The diameter of the scope matches many of the endometrial biopsy curettes used in the office today. Thus, dilatation of the cervix stays at a minimum. Q. What type of distention medium do you use? A. We use saline as our distention medium. It has proven to be a better medium for office hysteroscopy. Q. I already own my own equipment, how is this going to benefit me? A. There are numerous ways HealthMark can still benefit you.
