Skin Tightening
A unique facial rejuvenation option that produces dramatic results, laser skin tightening effectively reduces the appearance of wrinkles and loose skin for a smoother and more youthful appearance.

Laser skin tightening is a minimally invasive, non-surgical process that uses an infrared light source (a laser) to tighten skin by heating the collagen under the skin’s surface, which then causes the skin to contract (tighten). Facial skin tightening is noticeable immediately after treatment, and because there is no downtime, it is an increasingly popular procedure. Additional skin tightening occurs over the next few months but optimal results usually require two or three treatments spaced about a month apart.

Many people notice signs of aging when skin begins to sag around the face and neck. Laser skin tightening is appropriate for men and women of all skin types and skin tones who wish to achieve dramatic results without painful surgery and lengthy recovery times.

Spider Veins
Spider veins appear as red or purple thread-like structures on the skin surface and can occur on the face, neck, chest and legs. They are superficial blood vessels that are found on almost everybody. In the legs, they can be found alone or in combination with varicose veins. Alone, they are not a health risk, but often are a cosmetic concern.

Spider veins are generally an inherited condition occurring when small capillaries dilate on the surface of the skin. There are larger veins called reticular or "feeder" veins that are the source for spider veins. Spider veins can worsen for a variety of reasons.

In recent years, medical lasers have made great technological advances and are now commonly used for a wide variety of non-invasive cosmetic treatments, including spider veins. Laser treatment is increasingly popular because it involves very few side effects and you can resume your regular activities immediately following treatment.

Treatment involves laser light that safely passes through the outermost layers of skin, finding the targeted vessels. Without damaging the surrounding skin, the laser’s intense light energy converts to heat causing the vessels to collapse and disappear.

Treatment will improve your appearance and, like with many patients, your self confidence. Two to three sessions are usually required to achieve the maximum desired outcome and veins will begin to appear lighter after each session.

Laser Hair Removal
Laser treatment for unwanted hair is a non-in¬vasive approach to permanent reduction and long-term hair removal. Treatment is specifically designed to eliminate undesired hair from all parts of the body. Unlike many other treatment methods, laser hair removal leaves your skin looking and feeling smoother and softer!

Preliminary setup involves cleansing and shaving the area to be treated. A laser is then directed toward the area and produces a beam of highly concentrated light. Without damaging the surrounding tissue, controlled pulses of light penetrate the skin and get absorbed by hair follicles. The heat generated in the process discourages and ultimately destroys the hair and its potential for regrowth. Post-treatment includes a clean up of the treated area and the application of sunblock. Larger areas such as those found on the back, shoulders, abdomen, and legs can be rapidly treated. Smaller facial areas like the upper lip, chin, and beard can be treated in minutes.

Laser Scar Revision
Whether caused by injury, surgery, or a burn, scars can be disfiguring. Scars stand out against the rest of the skin because scar tissue is made of collagen cells rather than ordinary skin cells. As a result, scars are usually a different color, and do not have sweat glands or hair follicles. The severity of a scar depends on many factors, including the size and depth of the wound, the blood supply to the area, and the thickness and color of the skin. Some people – especially those with deeper skin tones – have a tendency to produce prominent, raised scars called keloids.

We can safely reduce or revise the appearance of many types of scars using a combination of treatments to optimize your results.

Acne Treatment
Acne is a common medical condition involving the sebaceous glands of the skin that affects over 80% of adolescents and many adults. During puberty, the body produces large amounts of an oily substance called sebum. Sebum, when combined with excess skin debris, sticks together in the pores causing them to become plugged. Without effective treatment, clogged pores can become infected, red, and swollen forming unsightly pimples that can lead to scarring. Common solutions, such as topical creams, can irritate the skin and take months to work. Other treatments like antibiotics can have multiple side effects and become less effective over time.

Finally, there is a safe and effective alternative to treating acne that also leaves your skin looking more youthful and rejuvenated. Advanced Fluorescence Technology (AFT™) is a breakthrough medical technology that has already helped many adults and teenagers win the battle against stubborn acne. With it, acne can be treated without messy creams, slow acting antibiotics, prescription medication, pain, or lifestyle interruptions. The Harmony's AFT acne treatment takes care of acne in just a fraction of the time it typically takes for antibiotics to work!

Advanced Fluorescence Technology (AFT™) is the latest development in pulsed light technology. While other phototherapy devices deliver low doses of blue light, Harmony's AFT acne treatment uses a much higher concentration of wavelengths. The unique treatment device targets only affected areas, thereby minimizing the risk of injury to surrounding tissue.
