AFT™ Skin Rejuvenation
AFT™ Skin Rejuvenation is a series of Advanced Fluorescence Technology (AFT™) light treatments that improve the appearance of Rosacea, flushing, sun damaged skin, age spots, skin texture, and photo aging. The treatment also improves mild acne scars, reduces large pores, corrects dark circles around the eyes, and reduces fine lines. This exciting treatment involves little or no "downtime." Following treatment, patients can immediately resume normal activities. An intense light is applied in a series of gentle pulses over the treatment area. Without damaging the skin, the light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by the abnormally dilated vessels or pigmentation. The heat impairs the vessel or lesion, and the body begins its natural healing process. The lesion will darken before it flakes off or is absorbed by the body. Treatment can be given as frequently as every three weeks. For optimal results, a series of five treatments is recommended. Some patients see significant improvement in two to three treatments; others require more. Follow-up treatments may be desired once a year to maintain results.

AFT™ Facial Skin Tightening
A unique facial rejuvenation option that produces dramatic results, laser skin tightening effectively reduces the appearance of wrinkles and loose skin for a smoother and more youthful appearance.

Laser skin tightening is a minimally invasive, non-surgical process that uses an infrared light source (a laser) to tighten skin by heating the collagen under the skin’s surface, which then causes the skin to contract (tighten). Facial skin tightening is noticeable immediately after treatment, and because there is no downtime, it is an increasingly popular procedure. Additional skin tightening occurs over the next few months but optimal results usually require two or three treatments spaced about a month apart.

Many people notice signs of aging when skin begins to sag around the face and neck. Laser skin tightening is appropriate for men and women of all skin types and skin tones who wish to achieve dramatic results without painful surgery and lengthy recovery times.

AFT™ Acne Treatments
Acne is a common medical condition involving the sebaceous glands of the skin that affects over 80% of adolescents and many adults. During puberty, the body produces large amounts of an oily substance called sebum. Sebum, when combined with excess skin debris, sticks together in the pores causing them to become plugged. Without effective treatment, clogged pores can become infected, red, and swollen forming unsightly pimples that can lead to scarring. Common solutions, such as topical creams, can irritate the skin and take months to work. Other treatments like antibiotics can have multiple side effects and become less effective over time.

Finally, there is a safe and effective alternative to treating acne that also leaves your skin looking more youthful and rejuvenated. Advanced Fluorescence Technology (AFT™) is a breakthrough medical technology that has already helped many adults and teenagers win the battle against stubborn acne. With it, acne can be treated without messy creams, slow acting antibiotics, prescription medication, pain, or lifestyle interruptions. The Harmony's AFT acne treatment takes care of acne in just a fraction of the time it typically takes for antibiotics to work!

Advanced Fluorescence Technology (AFT™) is the latest development in pulsed light technology. While other phototherapy devices deliver low doses of blue light, Harmony's AFT acne treatment uses a much higher concentration of wavelengths. The unique treatment device targets only affected areas, thereby minimizing the risk of injury to surrounding tissue.

AFT™ Facial Pigmented Lesions
Nearly 100% of humans have one or more pigmented lesion. Some are cause by sun exposure, others by aging. Still others are congenital. Regardless of the cause, pigmented lesions are simply spots on the skin where there is a higher concentration of melanin. Some lesions are flat; others are raised. In most cases, pigmented lesions are merely a cosmetic concern, but in some cases, they can be an early sign of skin cancer.

For most benign pigmented lesions that are of a cosmetic concern, there is a non-surgical option using light. By exposing a pigmented lesion to short-pulses of visible light, the temperature in the highly-concentrated melanin can be raised sharply; enough to shatter the cells containing the melanin. The body then replaces these cells with new cells generated by the surrounding, untreated area.

Chemical Peels
As we age, the accumulated effects of sun exposure, pollutants, acne, and scarring can damage our skin and cause us to look older than we are. Such skin damage can be treated with a chemical peel, a non-invasive procedure designed to promote cell growth and produce smoother, clearer skin.

Chemical peels also are used to treat melasma (a skin condition characterized by irregularly shaped patches of brown skin commonly found on the face and neck), and pre-cancerous changes in the skin. Chemical peels can be performed on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and legs.

Chemical Peels are topically applied acids that aid in the restoration and rejuvenation of the skin's surface. They create a uniform and controlled shedding of several layers of the skin. Depending on the nature and depth of the peel, a significant number of layers can be exfoliated allowing new growth to be exposed, creating a fresh, vibrant appearance.

BOTOX® Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic provides a quick and effective remedy for the facial lines and wrinkles that age, stress, worry, and environmental factors can produce. Such dynamic wrinkles are caused by contractions of the delicate underlying facial muscles that occur every time you smile, laugh or frown. Lines that are caused can give people a tired, angry or sad appearance – even when they aren’t necessarily experiencing those emotions. While you may have earned every one of your worry lines, you don't have to show them anymore.

Subtle "expression" lines and more advanced furrows can be quickly and significantly reduced using BOTOX® Cosmetic.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles such as eye creases, marionette lines and glabellar furrows in people from 18 to 65 years of age.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause facial lines to form over time. For over a decade, ophthalmologists have employed BOTOX® Cosmetic for its original intention; the treatment of blepharospasm (abnormal blinking or eyelid tic). Physicians also have been utilizing BOTOX® Cosmetic for years as a cosmetic treatment for correcting visible signs of stress and aging. One 10-minute treatment, involving a few tiny injections, and within days there's a noticeable improvement which can last up to 4 months.

Smile. Laugh. Frown. Make all the facial expressions you want and stop worrying about wrinkles!

Radiesse®
Facial lines and wrinkles are caused by a gradual breakdown of the body's collagen and the elastin fibers in the skin. No one is immune from experiencing this normal aging process. Squinting, frowning and smiling also inflict stress on the underlying collagen in the skin and accelerate the formation of these furrows. Until recently, injectable collagen was the most widely used available cosmetic filler to improve the appearance of these lines.

Radiesse® is a long lasting cosmetic filler that provides dramatic results for improving the appearance of facial lines, wrinkles and folds. This is a non-surgical solution to soften facial lines and wrinkles, restore volume and fullness to the skin, plump up lips, and fill in scars. Radiesse® injected into the lips can give back fullness to lips that have receded.

Facial Pixel Resurfacing
Aging, sun exposure, heredity and lifestyle factors including nutrition, alcohol consumption and smoking all may contribute to facial wrinkling. Pigmentary changes of the skin, such as blotchiness or brown spots, may also occur with age or as a result of birth control pills, pregnancy or genetic factors. Prior acne may have made the surface of your skin uneven. These problems, as well as certain other skin conditions, may be improved by skin resurfacing. In laser skin resurfacing a laser is used to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, layer by layer.

The procedure is most commonly used to minimize the appearance of fine lines, especially around the mouth and the eyes. However, it is also effective in treating facial scars or areas of uneven pigmentation. Laser resurfacing may be performed on the whole face or in specific regions. Often, the procedure is done in conjunction with another cosmetic operation, such as a facelift or eyelid surgery. Laser skin resurfacing is a rejuvenating cosmetic procedure that can help ease the harmful effects of the sun, aging, and acne on facial skin. Laser resurfacing removes the damaged outer layers of skin and stimulates the production of collagen and new skin cells in the underlying layers. Laser skin rejuvenation is popular because it is relatively safe and effective and is often done as an outpatient procedure. Laser resurfacing usually results in smoother, younger, healthier looking skin.
